Like a lot of people, it took a little courage to sign up for a writing class. It’s so easy for writing to be a thing that gets shoved in the shadows, but the Writing With Grace course was such an encouragement to take writing seriously, to consider it a calling, and approach with faith and gratitude. Ann’s gift of teaching shone through clearly as she shared both technical skills and spiritual wisdom. To be on the receiving end of such giftedness and God-centered encouragement was a great gift!

FAQs

DO YOU HAVE TO BE A CHRISTIAN TO TAKE THIS class?

You do not need to be a Christian to take this course. However, Ann is a Christian and talks openly and consistently about her faith in Jesus and how that impacts the writing life. If that will make you uncomfortable, Writing with Grace probably isn’t the right course for you.

I’VE ALREADY STARTED MY BOOK. IS THIS COURSE FOR ME?

Yes! Ann has specifically set up this course for writers in the middle of book projects, as well as for those who are just coming to the table with their book idea. The tools and techniques used to write well are a foot wide but a mile deep, and this course will give you the opportunity to grow and strengthen your book writing skills, no matter where you’re starting from. Specific exercises and hand-crafted assignments will allow you to take your writing ability to the next level and make clear strides toward completing the book God has invited you to write.

I WANT TO WRITE MY BOOK, BUT I’M NOT SURE I’M A WRITER. IS THIS COURSE FOR ME?

If you’re willing to work, definitely! The Writing with Grace Book Writing Workshop is a wonderful place to dive in if you know you’re supposed to share about what the Lord has done in your life but you’ve got cold feet. It can feel intimidating to share our stories on the page and send it out into the world, especially if we aren’t confident about our writing skills. But if you’ve been feeling that nudge from the Lord, don’t hold back any longer—obey! In this workshop, Ann will break down the components of writing into powerful, clear steps. You’ll leave equipped to write with more precision, purpose, and direction moving forward!

We won't sugarcoat it--writing is hard work! But it's the best kind of hard work, and the payoff of sharing your words with others is a gift.

IS THIS A LIVE WORKSHOP?

This is a recorded class that will enable you to watch and re-watch the course as many times as you like between now and June 30, 2026. There is also a bonus recorded Q&A with Ann that you will have access to!

What is the cost of this course?

This three-hour Writing with Grace Book Writing Worksop costs $137. You can choose to reserve the editorial feedback option and one-on-one coaching call for an additional price.

CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT THE EDITORIAL FEEDBACK OPTION AND ONE-ON-ONE COACHING CALLS THAT ANN IS OFFERING?

If you purchase the Writing with Grace Advanced Writing Workshop, you will also have the chance to reserve an editorial feedback slot and a coaching call with Ann. These are optional but can only be reserved by students taking the course, and they are very limited in number.

Editorial feedback option: If you reserve the editorial feedback option, Ann will edit and
(lovingly!) critique up to 1000 words of your writing. Along with content editing, the feedback Ann gives will include a paragraph of encouragement, challenge, and insight for how to move forward with your book. The editorial feedback will be done via email, and your feedback will be sent to you in a Word Document or PDF file. Your piece will need to be sent in by January 1, 2026; Ann will return her feedback to you no later than the end of February 2026.

One-on-One Coaching Calls: If you reserve the editorial feedback and the coaching call, Ann will edit and critique your piece (see above), and she will also schedule a fifty-minute coaching session to talk with you about your writing goals and next steps. You and Ann will find a mutually convenient time to talk; all coaching calls will be completed by the end of March 2026.

“Ann is a thoughtful, engaging teacher who brings fresh insight to her courses.
